Comp: $90,000 -$115,000


We are seeking a meticulous, tech-savvy Senior Accountant to take ownership of the accounting function within a fast-paced, multi-entity organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy, supporting month-end close, and mentoring a Junior Accountant. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, account reconciliations, monthly financial analyses, and general ledger maintenance across multiple entities.
  • Oversee the full-cycle accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments while leveraging accounting automation tools.
  • Coordinate accounts receivable activities with external billing partners to ensure timely collections and accurate reporting.
  • Partner with the CFO and cross-functional teams to complete the monthly close process accurately and on schedule.
  • Manage cash flow, treasury functions, and banking relationships across the organization.
  • Establish and maintain effective internal controls to support organizational growth and financial integrity.
  • Oversee fixed asset accounting, depreciation schedules, and lease accounting in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Prepare accurate, timely financial reports and supporting schedules for leadership and board-level reporting.
  • Supervise, mentor, and delegate responsibilities to a Junior Accountant, fostering professional development and accountability.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through AI-powered accounting tools, automation, and process optimization.
  • Support intercompany accounting, payroll administration through a Professional Employer Organization (PEO), external audits, and tax preparation activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience; healthcare services experience is preferred.
  • Public accounting and/or audit experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks Online (QBO), ERP systems, and modern accounting technologies, including AI-powered tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience working in a multi-entity or multi-location organization.
  • Knowledge of internal controls, lease accounting, and fixed asset management.
